Privacy Policy
What data Complere handles during the pilot, and what it does not.
No FERPA records, no student data
Complere does not collect or process FERPA-protected education records, and it does not collect or process student data. The pilot works with public policy content and the minimum operational data needed to run the service. Do not enter student records or other protected data into Complere.
Public policy content
The university policies shown in Complere are public documents owned by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Complere fetches them from the institution's public website and cites each answer and obligation back to that public source. Complere does not claim ownership of that policy content.
Operational data we generate
To run the service, Complere creates and stores operational data, including:
- your account and profile (such as your work email, name, role, and department);
- the administrative obligations and deadlines tracked for you;
- the reminders and notifications scheduled and sent;
- an audit log of administrative actions, for accountability.
Complere owns this operational data, which it generates in the course of providing the service. It is kept separate from the institution's policy content and is scoped to your institution.
No model training on your data
Complere does not use tenant data to train machine-learning models. When Ask Campus AI answers a question, it is grounded only on the approved public policy sources your administrators have ingested, and your data is not used to train any model.
Email reminders
When Complere sends a reminder by email, it uses the email address on your profile. During the pilot, reminder email may be routed to a designated test inbox; when that happens, the delivery record notes both the intended and the actual recipient so the routing is auditable.
