Terms of Service
The terms that govern use of Complere during the pilot.
1. What Complere is
Complere is pilot and beta software. It helps university administrators find, track, and get reminded about administrative obligations and deadlines drawn from published university policy. It is a planning and reference tool. It is not the official record of any policy, deadline, or requirement.
2. Provided as is, for planning and reference
Complere is provided as is and as available during the pilot, without warranties of any kind. Features may change, break, or be removed while we test and improve the product. Do not rely on Complere as the sole basis for a decision.
The official published policy of your institution always governs over anything Complere displays. Where Complere and the official policy differ, the official policy controls. Verify every obligation, date, and requirement against the cited source before you act on it.
3. Policy content and ownership
The university policies shown in Complere are owned by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Complere fetches them from the institution's public website and cites each answer and obligation back to its source, including the source URL and, where available, the effective date. Complere does not claim ownership of that policy content.
Complere owns the data it generates in operating the service, including accounts, obligations, reminders, notifications, and audit records. This operational data lets the service run and is kept separate from the institution's policy content.
4. No student records or FERPA data
Complere does not collect, store, or process student education records, and no FERPA-protected data is handled by the pilot. Complere works with public policy content and the operational data needed to run the service. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
5. Acceptable use
Use Complere only for its intended administrative purpose and only with the account provided to you. Do not attempt to access another institution's or another user's data, and do not upload student records or other protected data into the service.
6. Changes to these terms
Because this is a pilot, these terms may change as the product develops. Material changes will be surfaced in the product. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
